111 West 57th Street – The Steinway Tower

The Steinway Tower, 111W 57th, New York City, is a 430-metre-plus skyscraper in Manhatten that, when completed, will be the slenderest tower in the world, measured in terms of circumference and height. Its terracotta cladding appears to flow downwards, unfurling an impressive interplay of light and shade.

The new building of the Paracelsusbad Salzburg stands in the sun like a radiant monument. Slim vertical elements lend the building a futuristic appearance. For the development of the effect glaze in an off-white colour we had to dig deep into our ceramic box of tricks.  The result is convincing.
