One of the increasingly important architectural tasks of our time is the full reconstruction of buildings from the recent past. In this project, the starting point of the formal concept is a horizontal stratification of the external appearance on the street side and on the courtyard side. For the public street areas, a high-quality yet cost-effective variation is being implemented as a ventilated ceramic facade. The stratified effect is enhanced by the choice of colors of the window profiles: anthracite in the “joint story’s”, and the facade color in the “brick story’s”. The top story is supplemented by a cantilever arm to form a clear orthogonal corner. This top layer has a more intensive color quality. The existing reliefs by Adolf Frohner are being integrated in the facade concept.
