School Grossmatt
In the course of the complete renovation, the school building was completely gutted, the interior including electricity and water supply was renewed and both the roof and windows and building shell were replaced and adapted to modern energy standards.
The terracotta cladding on the upper floor is unusual: the concave curvature of the elements is reminiscent of halved pipes and represents a special design for this building project. The powerful green forms a strong contrast to the uncovered exposed concrete used for the basement with its striking columns and outdoor facilities.
