The new five-storey building brings together the various offices of Doncaster City Council under a single roof. The inviting, fully-glazed entrance area leads in to the bright and spacious customer service centre, while the different departments are situated on the upper floors. The frontage of the corner building features a remarkable design: whereas the remaining facade elements are clad with glazed, metallic-engobed TERRARTR Large panels, the main entrance is decorated with an abstract pattern made up of vertically arranged baguette elements. A total of 3,200 ceramic bars in 12 different colours have been randomly arranged to give the building a unique appearance and thus its very own identity. The „royal colours“ of blue and purple dominate.
