To ensure that it blends in with its neighbourhood, the imposing 25-storey building with 70,000 square metres of floor space was divided into smaller building volumes to visually reduce its mass. The design of the outer skin emphasises this impression: light-coloured terracotta louvres and panels in various depths and textures alternate with different window sizes in a wealth of variations, conveying an elegant lightness that characterises the large-volume building as translucent and accessible. The subtle colour scheme interacts with the natural, robust ceramic material to create an overall impression that is both dynamic and expressive.
