Avrora Business Center, Moscow

In the heart of the inner city of Moscow, between the river Moskva and the Moscow-Volga Canal, a new business park has sprung up on the site of a n old textile factory. Only two of the former factory halls have been preserved – space is now dominated by modern architecture. The polygonal business centre that rises up above the surrounding buildings carries a facade made of glass, steel and ceramic. Profiled terracotta strips in three different shades of grey run through the smooth, red TERRART® panels to mirror the steel tubes used in the glass facades. The building is crowned with a two-storey glass-fronted loft that resembles a promenade deck. Tradition and modernity come together in the architectural concept of this office building, where the old facade has been reconstructed and finished with modern terracotta cladding. The fine texture of the profiled grey TERRART® Light panels invigorate the sober structure of the building and gives it a relief-like character that has a changing effect depending on the amount of daylight and sunshine available.
