Brick-red terracotta elements generate an interesting play of colour on the façades. Although the building is uniform in colour, shadows let the narrow ceramic rods – which are positioned with space between – appear much darker than the flat, large-format panels. In the process, a dual-colour impression is created. Apart from the ceramic, the pagoda roof catches the eye of the observer. A second glance fixes on the imaginatively arranged corners with their rungs and recessed metal windows that are reminiscent of bulls-eyes, thus providing a certain alienation.
