Element 28 Apartments

In Bethesda, an upscale suburb of Washington DC, it is impossible to miss this distinctly bright side of a luxury apartment building, which calls for attention with a deep red terracotta. At a bustling intersection, the colorful addition to the cityscape stands out, and is only further enhanced with a unique double-fired glazed finish. This glossy statement contrasts the surrounding exteriors’ natural finishes of stone and concrete, and the visual impact of the glazed red transitions with changing sunlight throughout the day. The vertical installation of TERRART® Mid tiles is exceptional in that the terracotta application was reserved for just one side of the LEED Gold-Certified building, which acts like an intriguing calling card for what is inside.
