1900 Crystal Drive
The striking South Tower, one of two newly built residential complexes in National Landing, “illuminates” the booming business district with its vibrant design and impressive colour scheme on the façade. Glazed ceramic elements in a warm terracotta tone emphasise the height of the tower as regular vertical pillars and characterise its structure. The organic material is a reminder of the geological and industrial history of the district, which was once home to numerous brickworks. The meandering Pontomac River provided the inspiration for the curved shape of the building, which makes it a unique eye-catcher.
