UTM North – Toronto, Canada

This new 210,000 ft2, six-storey facility completes the renaissance of the northern portion of campus and is the new home of humanities and social sciences. For the façade, the architects wanted the appearance of corroded steel without sacrificing the positive properties of a terracotta façade, such as durability, UV and frost resistance. The result is a new glaze specially developed for this project, which imitates the desired appearance while retaining all these properties.
