Clichy Zac Batignolles – Paris, France

Glass and ceramics were used for the façade of the elegant office and commercial building, giving the large-volume building dynamism and luminosity. Strongly profiled terracotta panels with different cross-sections, vertically mounted, create a clear striped appearance and form balustrades that mark the individual building layers.

The transparent glaze was applied to a dark brown mass during the initial firing process and ensures that the fireclay is highlighted in the body.
